Vanilla rum cake apples
- Ingredients for the cake for 8 people:
- 6 apples,
- 175 gr of flour,
- 1/2 tsp of baking powder,
- 85 grams of brown sugar,
- 40 ml of the neutral type oil (rapeseed, isio 4 ...)
- 50 ml milk 1/2 skim
- 3 eggs,
- 1 vanilla bean,
- Butter for the mold.
- Ingredients for the syrup:
- 25 ml of rum,
- 50g butter,
- 45 gr of white sugar.

Preheat oven to 180 ° C (gas mark 6) and grease the mold.
In a bowl, put the flour, brown sugar, yeast, oil and milk.
Mix and add the eggs.
Split the vanilla pod in half and get the grains with a knife and add to the mixture.
Peel, cut and remove apple seeds then chop coarsely (ie anyhow!). Add them to the batter and pour the batter into the pan.
Put in the oven for 30 min.
Meanwhile, prepare the syrup. Put the butter and sugar in a saucepan to melt about 5 minutes over medium heat.
Once the mixture is melted, add the rum.
