Breton Cake

Preparation time: 20 minutes 
Cooking time: 45 minutes


Ingredients (for 8 people): 
- 350 g of flour 
- 1 whole egg + 5 egg yolks 
- 300 g of sugar 
- 1 sachet of vanilla sugar 
- 350 g salted butter very soft 
- 1 tablespoon Cointreau 
- Gilding the cake: 
- 1 whole egg, 1 pinch of salt
Preparation of the recipe: 

  • Mix flour + sugar + vanilla sugar. 
  • Make a well and add the eggs, melted butter and Cointreau. Work the dough with a wooden spoon. 
  • Preheat the oven to Th 6 (180 ° C). 
  • Butter a mold of 26 cm in diameter. 
  • Pour the batter into the pan and flatten. 
  • Beat the whole egg with a pinch of salt to the gilding. Brown the cake, then streaking the surface with the tines of a fork. 
Notes: 
You can serve this cake jam prunes.
