Sauerkraut with Apples
ingredients:
Sauerkraut for Apple
750 g sauerkraut
1 onion
3 apple tart
½ bay leaf
2 cloves
5 juniper berries
½ c. Coffee cumin
1/8 l of water
1 pinch of sugar
2 c. tablespoons butter or oil
5 peppercorns
Preparation:
- Spend sauerkraut briefly under running water, drain well, (it is not necessary to wash the sauerkraut box).
- Peel the onion and apples (remove core) and cut them into small slices.
- Heat the fat in a pan and fry without browning onion slices, add the sliced apples and Steam them briefly.
- Stir in sauerkraut and spices, simmer a little. Pour the water and add the sugar.
