chai spiced hot chocolate
There is nothing better than a good homemade hot chocolate. To vary a bit, I added spices: mint, lavender, etc.. Just infuse plants or flavored tea in milk and hot chocolate is a true wonder.
As we approach the holiday season, this week I wanted to spice and flavor of cinnamon and ginger. I prepared a spice chai mix to go with this chocolate: cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, cardamom and ginger.
chai-spiced hot chocolate
Give 500 ml
500 ml of milk
1 c. of cinnamon powder
1 pinch of ginger
3 cloves
½ c. coffee nutmeg
½ c. coffee cardamom seeds
2 c. tablespoons cocoa 100%
4-6 c. coffee sugar
- method:
Heat the milk without boiling and pour all the spices in it. Leave to infuse for 15 minutes off the heat and strain.
Add cocoa and sugar. Mix well with a whisk and reheat if necessary.
