Meatballs with tomato sauce

Meatballs with tomato sauce


Preparation time : 25 minutes
Cooking time : 20 minutes

  • Ingredients (for 4 people):
- 250 g of roast meat cooked ground beef                                                   
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 3 onions
- 1/2 bunch parsley
- 1 sprig of thyme
- 240 g of peeled tomatoes ( 1 small can )
- 1 nice pepper
- 1 zucchini
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper          

  • Preparation of the recipe:
  1. Chop the onion and let it brown in an oiled pan with half the parsley . Sprinkle with paprika.
  2. Knead the meat cooked with onion and egg yolk.
  3. Shape into balls and cook in hot oil for about ten minutes.
  4. Prepare the sauce: Melt the remaining 2 chopped onions in oil with thyme , salt and pepper. Add the tomatoes and simmer 15 minutes.
  5. Slice the peppers into strips and cut the zucchini into cubes. Cook 5 minutes in boiling water, drain and pour in the sauce. Add meatballs and cook 5 minutes.
Sprinkle with chopped parsley.
